Okay sure it's a deal compared to what gas prices are probably in Korea for a liter of gas, but man, when I left Canada in 2003 gas was around 75 cents a liter (and I thought that was insanely high). |

I left in 2004 and it was just over a dollar. I guess it's hit as high as 1.30 or so in some places. 1.12 is relatively low right now. |

I must make you feel very small. (No, the job did not fall through. You might have a hard time believing but when you've been out of Canada for 8 years, there's a lot of stuff to do. Pass three drivers license tests, get your car back on the road, get a good insurance rate, get your plates, get an apartment in Toronto. The job has waited for me for 4 years. My friend is happy to wait a few months more. And your career path?) |

Haven't been back for years. But Fort Mack has been in the news here on Dave's and it has been mentioned that the Canadian economy is high on oil. Seems peculiar. Is this true?
How's the Canadian price compared to the U.S.? Or is Canada producing oil, feeding it to the U.S., and paying high prices for gas in Canada?
Since Free Trade came about and was recognized as a bad deal for Canada, ages ago, there has been an acknowledged drain of resources south.
Does this sound like what's going on? Planet Korea here^^. |

A buck 12? Are you guys getting it straight from Sable Island? Out here on the extreme left coast it's $1.21. IIRC that was the price of gas in Seoul in 2000.
Congrats on the repatriation, mindmetoo. I had no idea you were a Canadian. |

About a$1.24 on the other coast, and considering half the island is working in Fort Mac, and the other half is out at the rigs offshore, it's absurd. |
