hello,

I got my degree copy notorized last July 2007. That's almost a year and half ago. I ended up not needing it, because i did a visa run to Japan instead.

Anyway, the question is could i use that notarized degree copy this time when i apply for my E2 from my home country? (even though all the notarizing stamps on it are from last July 2007)

Thanks.

Only two ways to find out.

1. Try it.
2. Ask them.

It should be fine. I had my degree notarized in August 2006. I didn't have any problems with it.

a) notarized,
b) Korean embassy /consulate certified or
c) apostilled?

Currently, unless you are from Canada, the only one they are accepting is "C".

If you are from Canada, then "B".

It's been notarized by my local solicitor, then stamped by someone else, then stamped by the Government Dept. of Foreign Affairs, then stamped by the Korean Embassy. To be honest i don't understand all these legal terms about notarizing and appostiles, but anyway all of these stamps date from over a year ago. I'm just wondering is that acceptable when i apply this month.

I will ask my recruiter, although he probably won't know. I can't see why it would be a problem, but bureaucracy and redtape can be illogical and frustrating so i just wanted to know in advance.

thanks everybody.
