I wouldn't have brought this up if not for the fact that many of McCain's supporters at the rally tonight were yelling this. Personally, I think it would be great for the Democrats if she ran.

If she runs in 2012 there would be a huge opportunity for a 3rd party especially the Libertarians.

I like your optimism, though she didn't help the Libertarians get many votes this election.

It would. They might be lost being in the White House and controlling the Congress at the same time, without any opponents in sight.

They will need someone like S. Palin these next two years or so.

I'd like to see Sarah Palin try to make it through the field of Republicans running in 2012. I think she'd be out of the race quicker than Guiliani was this time.

If Mike Huckabee didn't make it through (who was MUCH MORE grounded and likeable), there is no way Sarah Palin can.

I wonder what would happen if the race came down to Sarah Palin vs. Hillary Clinton...

I voted yes. But not for the obvious reason. If she is a part of the Republican ticket in 2012, that would ensure that Obama gets a second term.

Though to be fair, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Let's see how Obama does his first four years in the White House. I hope he doesn't disappoint.

Probably Clinton. At least she had good intentions for the people of the United States, and really had a concept of governing, even if she did seem very partisan.

Palin...bah. Incredibly partisan, openly extreme right, and...well, would basically be torn apart by other Republicans in 2012 way before she would even get a chance to do a heads-up with a Democrat again.

Clinton would eat her as an appetizer and pick her teeth with her glasses.

As much as I'd like to see a landslide of historic proportions, people are going to get sick of the Dems after a while and it would be really really nice if the Repubs are at least somewhat sane when that happens...

Yeh...then some comedians could call her posing as Kim Jung Il and pretend they are going to nuke America. This woman is an idiot and thankfully she proved it so we don't have to see her in anymore presidential races.

My guess it will take more than four years to get Palin up to speed on foreign policy.

They can start by replaying the tape of the radio call-in prankster duet from Quebec until she realizes how many hints they gave her that she was being duped. Even the faux pas French leader's comment that his wife is "hot in bed" went right past her. Talk about an obtuse person.

I like her spunk and her looks but she's on a slow learning curve.

I hope she runs--she has a real, dedicated base, and if she runs the Republican party will be strongly divided.
