So I just got my CRC in the mail, and they added an extra T to my last name. Instead of Gutierrez, it says Guttierrez. All the other info is correct, first names/address/birth etc. Is it going to be an issue, or do I have to go through the process of getting it corrected? ... I have no idea how much time that will take. |

I've heard someones visa got rejected because of a simple error like this
I would call up th police department and (very politley) inform them that they made an error and that you need it corrected asap
you dont want to let this linger as who knows how it could come back to hurt you in the future |

When I opened my Japanese bank account, it got frozen because I'd registered it without my middle name, while my gaijin card had my middle name on it. Since the Japanese (all Asians?) have no concept of a middle name and how stupid and worthless it is, I had to go back in and do a ton of paperwork and stamp like ten forms to "change my name" on my account. |

I am having problems with paying my bills for a similar issue. It seems that my names (first middle and last LOL) are too long to enter into the system individually. So, the companies and banks just arbitrarily picked one and used the first 5 or 6 letters to start the name of the account. Then, they chose one of the others and continued.
I have ended up with 2 or 3 aliases comprised of my first, middle, and last name. My co-teacher had to call them up yesterday to tell them of this so they could take money out of my bank account. I guess your bank name prevails in these sorts of situations.
So, make sure you get your name spelled the way it should be. Then, when you come to Korea, make sure your ARC card is spelled the way it should be. Finally, when you get your bank account open, make sure that acount is spelled the way it should be also. After that, it's just a minor issue, but these three areas are of concern. |

Alright, so I got everything corrected and a new one printed out. It's signed on the bottom and has a Winnipeg Police Service sticker attached on it.
Do I still need to get it notarized or is everything ready to go now. And if I do, where would I get it done? I'm in Winnipeg, MB btw. |

As long as you know you "bank name," it shouldn't be a problem. Just let people know what that name is when they have to pay you. I have one bank account open in my Korean name. |

My last name was spelled wrong on my passport. So, it was different from all my other documents and no one noticed. |

I've got the Brazilain soccer player style name going on at least two of my billing accounts. My interwebs bill comes through as just my first name. |
