So...

I have a first-gen American Wii. I was planning on bringing it in for the last day of the semester so some of the kids can play it, but I wasn't sure about the power issue. Right now it's plugged into a surge protector that's plugged into a converter (which is what I use to plug in all my American appliances and such).

The Wii has an adaptor (like any other expensive piece of electronics) so I should only need one of those little plug-switcher dealies and it'll work fine in a Korean socket, right? There isn't any actual need for the converter?

I'm asking mostly because I couldn't find anything on google that was definitive and I don't really want to risk it (considering a couple years back - when I had just gotten here - I fried an alarm clock) with the fact that it's STILL kind of hard to find a Wii in America.

READ the label on the power pack or bottom of the box .

IF it says input: 110-240VAC then you only need a plug adapter.
IF it says input: 110-125VAC then you need the converter/transformer or you will kill it (post haste).

.

Ok, that's what I figured. I guess I just needed reassurance before I put my beautiful Wii in harm's way.
