Went to Costco for the first time today and thought I'd let others know some important info. First, I went to the one at the Yeongdeungpo-gu Office subway stop. The best way to find it is to find exit 3. Immediately upon leaving the subway turn left and double back so you're walking between the subway exit wall and some buildings. You'll go about fifty feet and find an intersection. Turn right and go straight for four blocks.
Once there you'll need your passport or ARC to sign up. One thing to note is that they don't take American credit cards. They take cash or some kind of Samsung cc. Another important thing that I learned is that there are no plastic bags available. You have to carry your stuff home by hand or in a cardboard box. Finally, there are two levels, street level and downstairs. Once you've went downstairs it seems to be impossible to go back up unless you go through checkout. So make sure you're done on the first level before you go down. I sure wish that I would have known about the plastic bags before I went. I would have brought one with me.

They don't take American CC's.
I thought CC's were internationally accepted.
Don't understand. |

You can go back to the top floor from the bottom floor. You just have to leave your cart on the bottom floor, walk through the checkout, go up the escalator on your left, and then re-enter Costco. Make sure you take your card.

BTW, Costco is really good about accepting returned items. Just make sure you have your receipt and the card. If you use a friend's card, make sure they are there when you return anything.

Well Korean Costco is the only Costco in Asia that doesnt take AMEX...Japan, Taiwan all accept it. So weird. I emailed them for an explanation but I didnt get a response. I wonder why. Probably has to do with the chaebol system.

I like CostCo. How much stock should I buy? When I go back home, I shop at other stores but in Korea it is one of the best options.

They will sell you a Costco shopping bag for like 3,000 at checkout. You don't have to use boxes.
