Well done. Why you agreed to help her by filling out a survey escapes me even now. Instead of filling out a survey, or even declining to do so and pointing out the grammar mistakes that existed (which are very minor, as I also checked them today), you decided it was best if you rudely belittled her efforts.

Perhaps you thought you were helping the advancement of English education by throwing a small obstacle in her way to becoming an English teacher, although she speaks much better English than most Korean teachers I have met in three years here. Maybe you had a rough day and you took it out on someone you didn't know. You might even just be so incredibly sexually frustrated being a foreign woman in Korea that you thought it appropriate to do your best to hurt another's feelings.

Or you're just a b**ch. Congrats.

you were doing ok until the generalizations, where you became just as much of an asshole Smile

though, for the OP, the surveys can be very annoying, but you're right in just declining them is the answer, not being rude.

Sorry about that OP, I didn't know she was YOUR gf, thought she was just a random girl. That being said, I did it because I was fed up about being accosted by drunken adjosshis for umpteenth time this week and thought I'd tak my anger out an a defensless korean.

PS. You should have checked the grammar before you sent her into the field^^

OP, you should tell your GF that its totally acceptable to tell a rude person to "Go f yourself, you (insert derogatory description here) piece of sh**."

So you're dating one of those Korea University students who is taking surveys in Itaewon?

How old are you? Cool

Actually, if anyone is from Korea University, and told their students to make videos.... please... a photo is just fine. Or recorded audio. Recording it all on video is... um... creepy. I know that wasn't your intent to be that way, but it's difficult to trust what Koreans use video for sometimes.

SexPanda, what's that comment supposed to mean? There's nothing wrong with dating a Uni student (unlike that other guy who was dating the 14yr old in in his forties) and if I recall, didn't you say your last GF was in her late teens? Heck I've dated two uni students while I've been here and the largest age gap was 3 years ( she was older than me^^).

Did I say anything was wrong with it?

Only a defensive person who feels uncomfortable with how he/she is being viewed by others would jump to such a conclusion.

yeah, sharkey has it down.

back home you'd definitely be called p*ssy-whipped for sure

so some big bad foreigner dared to criticize your gf's E? am thinking you've been telling her every night how PERFECT it is - maybe you tell her 3-4 times a night? all night? Wink

she's egging you on for the sympathy dude - grow up and get smart - before she eggs you all the way into bankruptcy

*a little story*

last night I was coming down the escalator on the way to Emart at Yongsan Station. halfway down I see this anjumma kicking at an ajossi - ? huh? looking at her face it was halfway a smile/laugh but Ks often have weird expressions on their faces so I wasn't sure what was up - then she really laid into him as the escalator came all the way down.

I could see he wasn't even as tall as she was and he also seemed drunk. He was dodging her somewhat but she was pretty crazy. There was another woman standing near her.

I stepped to the side and took out my camera phone hoping to catch another one of those kicks but I guess that was a bit too obvious - she just yelled some more at him. He was pretty pathetic, that was for sure.

Now, don't get me wrong - I deplore domestic violence in all its forms - but this - this was just plain comical. I mean, seriously, it was. I don't know why he didn't leave - ? maybe he was begging to come home? or for her to come home?

anyway, reading your story today I can honestly say - if you don't get a grip that's gonna be you in about 20 years. Laughing

I'm annoyed by random surveys (at the mall,on the phone or on the street). A nice smile and an "I'm sorry, I can't" always does the trick.
Anyway... Relax
