That bailout plan is akin to giving a dead man a drip.

I think Obama's gonna face some huge problems in the very near future, get scared, take the well trodden and conservative path and make exactly the same mistakes every other american president has been making since Adam was a cowboy. IMO.

When Obama is in a rush to point out the mistakes of his political opponents, can he spell 'burst' correctly?

Well, can he?????

800 billion is chump change nowadays. If anything he should spend more.

Economist Niall Ferguson suggests the US "cancel" their debt. Might be an idea. Who's going to say anything?

so what? the economy will rebound anyway---every recession these birds say it's the end of the world. Funny thing is people in their 30's have never seen a recession---which says I am geeting old since it's my third.

bring on the spending I say.

There was actually a recession in 2000-2001 or thereabouts, though not such a serious one as now. Mild recessions occur pretty often. I'm 53 and have seen a number, but what we have now is scary and I have never seen this in my life. There are less jobs being offered now than I ever saw and more lost their jobs in January, last month, than any month since 1974.

Even though they were pretty much wiped out in the last two elections, the Republicans continue to arrogantly criticize that "community organizer" who has even less executive experience than Sarah "Failin'" Palin.

May President Obama enjoy a successful first term and may the Republicans continue to fade off into oblivion.
