Has anyone used the currency exchange facilities at airport departure ? If so, what were the rates like compared to other places.

The rates are the same as they'd be at the bank to buy cash. I've changed money every time I've flown out of Korea for home or on vacation. The only difference is that the exchange rate changes through the day as the value of each currency changes on the market. I noticed this last time I was flying out on vacation. Within two hours the rate for a US$ had changed by about 20 won at the currency exchange.
