8.5 Feet = 65" viewing screen. The author of the article touts the quality as being pretty good.

I might wait a little bit before they perfect it, but I'm looking forward to the prospect of having one of these instead of a TV.

A little longer and we don't need to by TV's anymore

Everything will be portable

1 fits all : TV, DVD, Computer, etc ....

1 screen to rule them all.

you know, this isn't too far from completely portable media.

soon cellphones will be able to do this ... and you can watch movies on a small white surface (book cover, wall, etc) almost anywhere.

the technology leaps and bounds are sometimes astounding.

I bet in five years you'll have this on a cell phone... complete with long battery life, high resolution and significantly more gigabytes for holding as many movies as you'll ever need.

This is awesome, but the resolution is low. Of course, they'll perfect it in a couple years to do a nice 1200X800 or 1600X1200 pixel resolution.

Instead of having solid video screens, we can just have a small box that projects video anything. This may make computers and TV's even more portable.

It will be interesting to see how bright LED light emitted video is projected on 3D objects to make for cool light shows. It's sorta like a 2D hologram mimicking 3D.

its a step in the right direction and it will eventually become part of the whole cellphone thing, by that time you wont really be able to call it a cellphone anymore. it will be a compelte media jukbox really.....with everything under the sun.
high storage, phone, mp3, video recorder HD, digital camera, projector etc etc....

it will happen. just a question of time.

This is amazing. I'm going to have to seriously fight that natural urge to buy the first generation. (... can anyone find a Korean release date... ya know. Just wondering and all.)

Never buy first gen anything....always better to wait.

once they increase the resolution, brightness etc then itll be a wrothy buy. and some auto adjust points.
plus make that bulb replacable.
