I'm curious about how to legally take a second job as a part time job. Is there a procedure that can be done to do this, or are the only people able to do this people who are doing it illegally? The job I have is okay, but I can probably make a lot more money if I can take on a part time job, and there's one I'm seriously interested in, and that I'm perfect for, but just wondering about the legalities as I keep hearing different stories from different people.
Oh yeah, it would probably help to add that I'm on an E2 visa, working for a Hagwon. |

1. Everything is legal until caught.
2. Get permission from your boss. Go to immigration and add the second part-time employer added to your ARC. |

If you work for a hagwon, you can forget about getting their permission to work for someone else while they own you. They paid for their monkey and you think they'll let someone else profit from you? Not likely..... |

I recall reading a Korea Times or Korea Herald article from earlier this year that the president was talking big about allowing English teachers to take a second workplace on an E-2 after one month of employment. What ever happened to this? |
