So, I'm flush with cash, and feeling liberal guilt.. I want to give to some charities. Nothing for cancer, except maybe leukemia. What i really want to give for is AIDS relief and research. Anyone know of anything like this going on in Korea?

I'd give some food/beer/money to some hobos. Seriously I use to do this when I lived in London. Every Christmas I would get a case of beer/some food/cash and bring it down to the hobos who slept under the Arches at the Embankment.
The way I saw it was they were on skid row and giving them beer and money was like giving them medicine(Alcoholism is a disease).
I have never and would never give to a charity as only a small % of your dollar gets to the intended recipient. |

I hear the Salvation Army is probably one of the best charities to give to in that most of the money will go to the intended receipients. |

I second the Sally Ann suggestion.
You may also want to check out some of the microlending sites (kiva.org) you can feel good about donatiing some money but also bet some excitement watching it be repaid. (After which you can lend it again) |

| Nice that you have a heart. Also good that you're probably too young to know that you're not really flush with cash! |

| why don't you try www.kiva.org and give after joining the kiva korea team. just go to the website and click the search button in the grey box on the left hand side. type in kiva korea, join, and choose who you want to support. |

Don't waste your money on medical research, those guys are not lacking in funds.
Also don't put your money into big charities as my ex use to work for one and quit because of the amount of the money the execs wasted on themselves. |

The thing with charities is that not everyone who works for them is a volunteer. My mate in London was earning 10 pounds an hour just calling people up and trying to extort money out them. Little did they know that they were just paying his salary.
If I was feeling flush, I'd take some time out and go do volunteer work.
