Does anyone know of a decent test or two to give adult business students.

I am starting a new job at a company. I will have about 24 students at each of two factories. Currently they are just split into two levels, but I was told that they were not accurate, as in some guys in the class can speak OK and others are true beginners.

I need to come up with a quick way to separate them into three or maybe four groups quickly and painlessly. I would like to have a test of some sort. Either a writing test or a speaking test.

Anyone know of any good websites?

Thanks

I used material from this website before and the teachers that I taught really enjoyed it. I modified the material to fit with their level though.

Check out The Practice Teaching page . Scroll down and below Teacher Tools, you'll see level tests.

There are a number of computerized tests. I also have a paper test with a picture and questions for quick leveling... HERE. Also on EFL Classroom in our resource area is a ppt of this test...
