Thinking of going to Japan for New Years to hit the slopes. Any recommendations on where to go? |

I've been using http://www.snowjapan.com/e/index.php and personally was leaning towards Nagano, but there's even so many resorts in that area that it's hard to choose, especially with only a few days off. |

Ya, after realizing that Niseko is real tough to get to I'm prolly gonna go with Nagano as well. Most likely to the Hakuba resorts. Hakuba 47 and Hakuba One look like they have some nice challenging terrain, and with the Hakuba resorts you can visit 7/10 all on one ticket. |

My first post on Daves, woo hoo.
I am going to Hakuba Valley for 5 nights in late Janurary. There is a hostel in town for only Y3,900 a night. Happo One and Happo 47 is where I'm going to spend my 4 days skiing. I chose Hakuba becasue of the convenience from Tokyo, as it is only 3 hours away by train. I got a flight from Busan to Tokyo for $271 round trip from NWA.com, can't beat that. I am beyond excited for this trip, I'm having ski dreams almost everynight. |
