a LOT of camps are run by private companies which change from year to year - they may be held at the same place, same dates, and even have some of the same employees managing them each year but the names will have changed regarding ownership.
heck, one camp I worked at a couple of summers ago - the owner changed even before the camp was over - when our pay wasn't forthcoming I was tracking him down and calling his phone and getting the runaround - we did get paid, eventually, a week late - but over all, there's not much "weeding out" to do - chances are if they've been around more than one year and can repeat a camp - they are probably at least going to pay you on time etc. - so in a way, you are defeating the purpose seeking negative comments.
just for the record, I've worked a few winter and summer camps and they all pretty much suck. mostly you need to wait as long as possible to get hired because the pay will go up the closer it gets to the starting date and they need to fill the positions. |

Thanks for the info and tips. To be honest though I am as much if not more interested in the positive comments, ie which places are reliable to work for. I dont realy have anyway of telling how long some of these guys have been going for. |

uh, I said they all pretty much suck - what's so positive about that?
it's really a hit or miss with camps - different people run them - the only thing going for them is they are short term - usually one can stick it out - tho I've known folks who couldn't. |

Dont be fooled by the big name camps. They can be garbage too, even though sponsored by a chaebol. |
