This is concerning the Police Clearance needed to get a job in Korea. Even after some research, I'm still a bit confused. Do I need to go through the Department of Justice, the State, or can I just have my local police department have it made? I'm from California.
I really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Are you in Korea now?
Here's the process I'm following now.
1.) Download a CRC form from the state police website.
2.) Mail it in (or have a family member do it for you)
3.) Wait.
4.) Once it is processed and sent back to you, take it to the US Embassy.
5.) Fill out an affidavit (sp) and make a sworn statement in front of the Embassy official. Get their stamp of approval.
6.) Submit to immigration, along with the rest of your docs for the new visa.
I think this is how it works for US citizens. |
