| When you find your self pushing a cart full of cardboard or an empty baby stroller. Or you find visors attractive to wear. |

I hit that point about a week ago and thankfully it came at the time when I was negotiating with a new employer.
Anyways, I found the point I hit when I knew it was time to leave for good was when I just couldn't ignore any of the day to day B.S that one requires to survive in this country. Such as;
* not being able to ignore people staring at me on the street
* not being able to ignore the idiocy of working for people who have no right owning an "English" school
* tiring of trying to teach kids who don't want to learn, despite my best and sincere efforts at making classes entertaining AND educational
* tiring of having my lessons and teaching styles thrown out due to the whims of one or two parents who are "upset" with their kid's progress
I found that Korea could be a great country .... AT TIMES ... but it takes a lot to survive here. For the longest time I could deal with the silly things and (for the most part) ignore it, but I've just reached a point where I can no longer do that.

Haha, that's exactly how I feel. I put in my resignation a while ago and I've got my flight booked for the beginning of December. A 5 day layover in Singapore is going to be good for the soul... Eat truly delicious food, drink lots of tasty beer... |
