Anyone see this yet?

They had an episode set in the Korean town, my wife was pretty upset/angry because it portrayed Korean's in such a bad light. She calmed down once I said she wouldn't have cared if it had been the same story with blacks, whites or Spanish people.

Good episode, quite funny seeing a police station full of Ajossies and Ajummas ranting and raving in Korean.

Another strange thing about the episode was the main Korean actors spoke with a North Korean accent.......

I haven't seen it yet either but I'm guessing they were portrayed as regular people, maybe they had problems.

Not the well-adjusted, high IQ, popular sex symbol/scientist everyone likes Wink

I can bet the names were screwed up. Probably called the characters by their family names.

I will have to take note of my wife's reaction when she sees it.

They didn't portray Korea in a bad light just some Koreans living in Korea town.

You know how Koreans can get with their "our people/our country"

It just showed a HIV positive Korean prostitute, who sold her son off to a drug company so they could test drugs on him, the mother of the kid was also a drug addict. The whole Korean community saw the murders that happened but didn't tell the police anything despite witnessing the event. Also very few of the Koreans could speak English.

I thought it was a great episode.

About the NK accent thing. I thought it was just speaking with a bad accent. Although I've learned that a lot Koreans, who came from NK, ended up in North American after the Korean War. Supposedly Seoul just wasn't home to them, and going back to NK wasn't an option, and wanted to try their luck by immigrating.
