| Looking for a specific fantasy book, Malazan series, so does Amazon or any similar sites ship to Seoul? I couldn't get very far in the ordering process. Thanks. |

Well, I have had some stuff shipped by amazon, and you can also make a search on whatthebook.com's website and add something to your cart, and then pick it up or have it shipped to your address. |

| And customs will rape you on the tax. Have it shipped through WTB or have it shipped to your family or friend's house back home, take all the wrappings off, get a new box and mark the products as "used" or with low dollar values. |

Customs has never charged me for getting things from Amazon, but I generally use whatthbook.com almost always. You are more likely to have no problems getting something shipped, but I've had no problems with customs before. |

No Amazon normally won't ship these kind of items to a foreign country. I wanted a mp3 once and they wouldn't ship to a foreign country. Tried to get a kindle and they would not ship to Korea.
Now be aware someone will post that they ordered a 72 inch plasma screen tv and full desktop computer without any problems with customs. These people are lying.

| Just for buying books...amazon is no problem. There is no customs tax on books mailed to Korea. Amazon charges $10 american to ship one book and then $5 additional shipping for each extra book. If they have them in stock, it only take 2 weeks. |

| I've never figured out the logic of how people get stuff overseas from Amazon, unless it's a book, which I'd just buy from another place like from Britain, which is much cheaper (free shipping, too). I tried to use their grocery store to buy some highly desired items, and they won't ship them to Korea. Yet, I found out about the grocery thing from a friend of mine who is in Nigeria because she uses it all the time. Go figure. Amazon will send grocery items to her in Nigeria, but they won't send it to me in South Korea. It makes little sense to me. |

Are you saying that amazon.co.uk doesn't charge for shipping? What other British outlets sell books online? |

Oh worry. Was thinking instead of giving information. I meant this place: http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/WEBSITE/WWW/WEBPAGES/homepage.php

Some items yes, some no. Books they will ship. However, the cost of shipping will often be more than the book. Most online sites use a hyper-inflated shipping fee to discourage customers from putting them through the hassle. I found it much cheaper to have it shipped to a family member who then forwards it to me(often within a care package!). The lst time I ordered books directly from amazon, the total for books minus shipping was just under $20, and the shipping was $24. so a total of $44! |

Forgot to mention, honestly, www.whatthebook.com is your absolute best friend in Korea. many different ways to pay, and a few chain stores. I go to the one in Itaewon whenever I go to Seoul. |
