That image..what you call the eye of soron isnt the planet. thats the star with some manipulation done to the image to see the planet, which is a mere speck of light in the surrounding area of said image.

^Why get into details and ruin the thread? I agree with the OP that it is remarkably similar to the Eye of Sauron. This can clearly be seen by looking at that wicked cool photo.
