| Rather than buying Traveler Checks with Korean Won, can I purchase them with my AMEX card? Seems I would be better off on the exchange rates if I did that. If I can do that, how do I go about it? |

If you are hoping to buy dollar T/Cs with a dollar C/C while in Korea, it won't happen.
They (your local bank) will calculate the rate for the dollars you buy in won.
They charge your C/C in won.
The banks will exchange back to dollars to send you the bill.
Then you will need to buy dollars back to pay the bill at the end of the month.
