The new episode features a Korean immigrant storyline, not going so well, the old ladies are all wearing visors. The kids are on drugs and in gangs, and the girl who was killed got eyelid surgery by having her boys force the doctor to operate at gunpoint.
eek they are also all hiv positive and the mom is using myspace to score drugs, hey there's Ando from heroes, and Dr. Chen from ER
ajumma just pulled a gun and screamed at nick in a voice that could only be described as exorcist girl-korean remix
Ok so it turns out that the little boy is involved in a shady drug trial, and then through seemingly incoherent connections his mom shoots his just paroled uncle and the kid grabs the gun and shoots his mom, cold...
hope someone else gets to watch and can comment, weird |

I'm reminded of an episode of Miami in which there was this offshore gambling operation run by a Mr. Choi, pronounced phonetically. I have a friend with the name 최 and she was pretty irked that they kept mispronouncing her name. Especially Horatio with his husky voice going on and on "You will Mr Choi, you will...*duh duh duh*" etc... |

That irked the hell outa me, too, and I'm not even Korean. Then again, I'm accustomed to my name being mispronounced. You'd think these dudes would do their research. |

Anyone else notice how there are way more references these last few years to Korea in American pop culture than Japan? |

Considering how Koreans assassinate the English language, I don't even want to hear about Korean being offended by the way that their names are pronounced. Boo effing hoo. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Americanized Koreans pronounced it Choy anyway. There are a lot of Acadians near my home and they have some horribly pronounced French names because they've been surrounded by English speakers for quite a few generations now. |

interesting that the guy was in prison for multiple dui's
and at the start the old lady was perfect with the 난 영어 못 해, 알아들었어?
perfect in the snarkiness.
overall they really got the korean side down well..
