|

For New Years, I'm planning on flying to a Seoul hotel via helicopter with my girlfriend. I can probably get a better deal on the chopper if I've got someone paying to fly back to Busan. The helicopter can land you anywhere there is a helipad (like on the roof of the Westin Chosun Hotel in Haeundae).
If you're interested, send me a PM. By the way, this will likely cost between 200,000 and 400,000 won, so you can fly first class from Gimpo to Gimhae cheaper. If you do this, its because you want an unforgettable experience with your date, not because you think its a bargain way to travel. |

Sorry, not interested in flying to Busan, but please give some details about the helicopter. I tried to find somewhere to hire a helicopter for an hour or so to fly around Seoul for a sunset tour last month, but had no luck.
Details please.... |

Well, that's just an estimate so far. Where I'm from, a chopper hire like the kind I want is about US$400 per flight hour, and I'll probably have to pay for the chopper's return flight (empty) to Busan, so if I can get someone to go back with the chopper, then I don't have to pick that extra cost up.
To the person who wants details, I'm arranging it through a hotel concierge, so I'll give details when I get them. |

an old version of the lonely planet guidebook said one could helicopter from jeju-si on the north coast to seogwipo on the south coast, around halla-san, for about a hundred thousand
anybody did that?
now THAT sounds romantic!
I'd pay 500,000 to go down the east or west coasts, but only half of that to go from seoul to busan, ugh. |

Now that's not a good aviation attitude. Sure, all machines fail on occasion and that's the risk you take by getting on aircraft and other things like roller coasters. We can take these risks, because we have mechanical engineers and other professionals with a very high track record.
I want to go on one of those executive jet copters for a Grand Canyon tour which is $300 to $500. |
