|
|
A week ago I ordered this jug of honey off Gmarket for 26,000 won, but the order just disappeared and the money refunded back into my Paypal account with no explanation or notice. http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=111915702&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=honey+bee
So I check today on why my honey has not arrived and found the price increased by 11,000 won shortly after I placed my order. The honey was not on sale and 26,000 had been it's price for quite some time.
I'm noticing other things getting really jacked up in price recently. The weakening won now requires more Won to pay for things, even Korean things as most of it is imported and exchanges hands many times in the process. This is why utilities are expected to significantly increase this season. Don't be surprised to see 30% to 50% inflation on your gas, oil, and electric per unit by February.
We've realized approximately 30% to 35% inflation this year alone on many things and other things like vacation will set you back 60% to 80% more this year than last. Look at the jacked up airfares, food, and cost to buy a dollar these days since August. Inflation is happening all across the board too in both poor and rich countries, except Japan was already expensive to start with. Myanmar has seen 35% inflation this year. Not sure what Thailand is doing, but I'd expect they went up a bit too. The US has seen huge inflation too, except gas is decreasing now, but food and the cost of living is out of control while wages remain stagnant and low and jobs are shed by the thousands each day now.
Tell me this cycle where in is not unprecedented hyper inflation, an unprecedented AND unwanted situation. If it aint, I don't know what is.
Uh, when's pay going up 30% to help offset living in this new crap sandwich economy that's coming about? Why can't that happen if everything else is touching the sky for new limits? Are the rich getting richer out of the mayhem? I think so... |
