|
|
I have gas heat with Rennai floor heat. When it is on there is a green light on the thermostat, as well as the room temperature. Well thsi cold morning the green light was off and it was cold. I reset it and the green light came back on for about a minute and then went back off, also the temperature indicator was flickering. After being off for awhile it will come back on and then go out again????? Does the thermostat have a battery or something? My gas stove and hot water both work. I always pay my gas bill on time. Any ideas why it does manifesting such bizarre behavior? |

It's most likely one of two things:
1. You need to turn the switch off/on inside of your Rinnai machine to reset it. To do this, look on the outside (or probably on the inside, since it's a Rinnai) of the ondol box where the pipes come out of. Take off the cover if you see no switch on the front or bottom of the machine. There should be a switch in there... probably at the lower right, if it's a newer Rinnai. Turn it off for 5 seconds, then back on.
2. Your system is low on water, and needs to be refilled.
You might need your boss to show you how to do this.
Here is a great thread about all things ondol:
