Poor guy hasn't even stepped foot in the white house yet, and he is already being attacked by those peace loving Muslim fundies.

Why should he wait? We have known for a long time now that Uncle O'Tomma has been placed where he is in order to do the bidding of his white masters by continuing the same policies.

As Malcolm X said, "This is not about a black face in a high place."

Al-Zawahiri is just telling it like it is.

Would you say that a majority of black Americans agree with Al-Zawahiri?

T-J: your title seems off. "The honeymoon" refers to how the American press typically treats an incoming president very favorably for his first several months in office -- the exact opposite of how the press has treated, say, W. Bush or S. Palin. We do not expect "honeymoons" in the enemy's propaganda...

On the Other Hand: can you elaborate?

One more thing...

Quote:
Obama's honeymoon

If by "honeymoon" you mean the period of time in which the POTUS has support from Al Qaeda, then I guess you're correct about the honeymoon being over. I'm not sure if that's the standard definition, though.

Extremely unlikey.

What I would like to know is how many Middle Easterners on the ground take this in and nod their heads "yes..."

Looks like I cross-posted with Gopher.

If you're referring to my first post, I mean that, from a public relations perspective, it's not a bad thing at all for a liberal Democrat to be denounced by self-proclaimed enemies of America.

What I'm wondering is how many Middle Easterners are even hip to the whole "house nigger/field nigger" discourse that Al-Z is trying to groove on here.

Hey! Cool!

They're saying the same things you can see at stormfront.org!

Maybe it's about time for the repubs and Al-Zarq to finally slip each other the tongue.

I only meant it as a period when one celebrates an occasion before getting to work.

My point was that a lot of the blame for muslim fundies hatred of America has been placed on Pres. Bush, when in fact we have been at war with fundamental muslims since 1948. Regardless of whether Americans realize it or not.

On Sept 11th the war was brought to our shores and Pres. Bush has rightly taken the fight back to them, where ever they are. And yes this includes Iraq. If we had to sell the war to the U.N. using flimsy WMD reasoning so be it. The real reason was that from 9/11 on you have a choice to make "Your either with us or against us".

These are the lines that our enemies have drawn not us. The current Commander in Chief only reiterated what the situation was. Unfortunately, many have ridiculed the policies and execution of this war, not realizing when, how, or why it was started or even who our enemies are.

The fact of the matter is regardless of world opinion, which by the way does not effect how well I sleep at night, we are safer today than we were eight years ago as a nation.

I pray that I can say the same thing eight years from now.

There are too many issues in that post. What issue would you like this thread to treat?

If by 1948 you mean the founding of Israel, then I would hesitate to characterize that as a 60-year war between America and Islamic fundamentalism. For many years, in that conflict and others that are related to it, many of the major players on the arab side were NOT fundamentalist Muslims. Some of them weren't even Muslim.

Yea, don't post whilst drinking, and all that.

Has Obama underestimated the level of fundimental hatred directed at America, and will that underestimation weaken his ability to lead?
