I went to the pension office yesterday to apply for my pension refund.

I went in the building.
I went up to the 4th floor.
I presented my passport, ARC and flight ticket.
I filled in a form.
I waited 3 minutes and the clerk came back.
She told me that I would have to wait for 30 days for the funds to show up in my account (they would have to wait for the final payment from the school at the end of the month). There were no surprises.
I was finished.

total time = <15 minutes including the wait for the elevator.

When things go right at a K-government office they certainly go right.

Thank you NPS.

I can also vouch for the pension office. At least head office, anyway. I had a same-day return flight back in June and applied for my refund for a job I had for 3 years that ended in March. The woman at the counter was skeptical about whether I could get my refund in such a case, but after confirming with a couple of people, she told me that they would just confirm that I boarded the flight and I would receive my refund in less than a week. And I did.

When he turns 60, his W458,000 per month will be worth about 23 cents.
