We live in shakey times, and I'm suprised Icke's name hasn't come up more in these off the wall, "discussion" threads.

Has anyone read/seen his stuff, and if so.........your thoughts?

Cue, the lizard jokes........off you go.........

1) He thinks world leaders are shape shifting lizards. Can you be so crazy to believe in that and manage to get a job teaching ESL? Oh probably.

2) He isn't much known out of the UK?

3) Alex Jones sells more DVDs than him.

A lot of his information is spot on but he discredits himself by talking about the lizards. I think even he knows this now because his latest works contain little mention of it.

His talk at Oxford University earlier this year is a very good watch, as is his 7 hour epic from Brixton Academy.

Icke seems to be a fairly perceptive, well-meaning sort of person who does research using material in the public domain and then speculates wildly around it. You've simply got to be able to tell the difference between speculation and somewhat well-established facts with his stuff. The mysticism he has been pushing in recent years seems somewhat like authentic eastern schools of thought that I'm struggling to understand at a deep level. As to whether the world is run by lizards, if you follow through the argument the concept is not as risible as it looks at first glance, but who knows? Whatever the case, good on Icke for running with his passions and standing up to the scum.

He has been warning about the 'big brother' society in the UK for years and is now being shown to be correct. He has been talking about the crash of the dollar as the world reserve currency and is being proven correct.

I would bet that you haven't actually read any of his work.

Errr, you'll notice a big flight back to the dollar as a world reserve currency. He's not correct. Sorry.

And the UK has always been a big brother society. Why do you think Orwell wrote the book? It's not very seer like.
