Honda Daelim VC125
(I don't know the year, but if you can tell me where to find it on the bike, I'll post it).
My bf bought it about 18 months ago off another foreigner for traveling to and from work, but never got around to getting his driver's license.
As its been sitting in the garage all this time, it needs new tires and won't start. Prior to sitting in the garage, it worked fine and only had a small oil leak (perhaps the reason it won't start is that all the oil leaked out and the battery is dead). The landlord has decided he doesn't want it there anymore so we are looking to get rid of it.
Paid 500,000 for it running with two working tires, make a reasonable offer.

Yes, we've been lazy on this one. That's probably why we still have it.
To answer the questions:
17, 040 km
No papers
Have pictures I can send via email. Just pm or post your email address. |

This means it will never be a legal bike. It also means it could be a stolen bike, not necessarily by you jellobean.
In Seoul, I'd strongly advice being legal on a bike as the police force has stepped up random MC checks in the last year. |

No, it wasn't stolen by us!
Nor was it stolen by the previous owner.
I don't honestly know about before that, but I it came from another foreigner.
Things have changed a bit in the last year or two in Seoul, but I still know quite a few people with bikes that don't have papers. Yes, there is a risk. But, there is also a difference between paying a few hundred for a bike and paying 1.5 mil, especially for someone who is only going to be here for a year.
Also, it's a bike. Once it has tires, it can easily be driven to some location outside Seoul. |

The same model on Passo.co.kr & bikemart.co.kr runs for $400-$800, ranging from 1997-2003.
Now thats a legal bike in perfect running condition going for that much! I too know a handful of people riding without papers in Seoul, but i know A LOT more who have faced serious trouble for not having papers.
I dont know how much you sell it for, but for KRW 1.5m A LOT of options open up and it is not a honest comparison.
You can, however, get older Dealim Magma's or a couple of 125cc Scooters for $500.
Just sharing some information i think can be valuable for a buyer.
Good luck with the sale though! |

There is also a big difference in cost when you get in an accident with a bike that has no papers (thus no insurance) and one that has papers (and thus can be insured).
If you can't respect the laws of Korea folks...you have no right on the road. Some innocent Korean shouldn't have to suffer because of your stupidity. |

Ditto! God knows why so many people take this serious offence so lightly |
