I haven't worked there, but I know from hearing from another person who knew another person (yeah, shallow, I know) that they work you a lot for the money.
Not much else to tell ya. |

It's time to pull yourself by the brass cajones and dive in, come over on a tourist visa or see if you can find a job with a block shift (6 hours or 6 50 minute classes, whatever) and other basics and just go for it.
As indecisive as you seem judging by your posts, are you sure that it's such a good idea for you to come to Korea? |

They do block shifts and split shifts. Supposedly 3 months of split shifts from 6:30am to 10:30 am and then again in the afternoon or evening for 4 hours.
It's still a relatively new school from my understanding; just over a year in business now. Teaching businessmen and only doing pronunciation with them, that's it. 25 minute sessions with the same basic 120 teaching hours or 240 sessions; you still get 10 minutes of break time every hour. Review quarterly and a raise semi-annually. I think though you have to be on-site for those 8 hours a day, even if you only have 4 sessions on a day.
I was going to take a job with them but then I got a better offer in terms of money mainly.
Doesn't seem half as bad as a hogwan if you don't mind the split shift and only having to teach pronunciation. You get single housing in a newer apartment, at least the teachers that I called and talked to walked into brand spanking new single apartments with A/C.

No offence here. The job didn't suit your needs. I would have jumped at them had I not gotten a better offer in salary and hours, with the possibility of overtime.
The downside was I interviewed for a new site in Yeouido, so as you said there were many unanswerable questions.
But, I felt they would take care of whomever they hired.
In the end it's personal choice and if teaching kids ain't something you're interested in then this is a possible way to go.
Cheers and Good luck! You'll find the job that suits your criteria. |

They want you to train for three weeks without PAY! I don't think so! Only a fool will agree to that. Your pay starts from the date that's stamped in your passport according to immigration and the labor board. |
