I'm meeting with a girl I really like today, and before I make her dinner, we're going to be together for a few hours. What we can do on a nice Sunday in Seoul? I was thinking Gyeongbokgung or something like that, but I wonder if it would be boring for a Korean.

Any ideas? Oh, and I have next to no money Smile

I think the Leeum Sansung art gallery near Itaewon is a must-see, it's the best museum in Seoul.

It's beautiful, and there is an English tour at 3pm. However, it's 10 bucks per person.

If you want something completely free, why not go walk around a fun neighborhood (ie. Sinsa, Hyewha) or go to a Palace.

You should find a nice cafe and sit there at the end.

Thanks for this. It looks awesome. I'll consider it... she's worth the 20,000 I think.

Have sex. Has she ever seen the Blue House or that old palace next to it whose name escapes me? I know people who are *from* Seoul and have never seen the 청와대.

While I'd greatly enjoy sex with this girl, it's our second time meeting, and I kinda don't want to blow it. We'll see what happens after dinner.

The palace next to the Blue House is Gyeongbokgung, which I mentioned earlier. I just wonder if it would bore a Korean. To me, it's one of the most romantic places I've seen, especially the part in the middle of a lake, where King Jaseon used to get his groove on with his homies.

I'm sure I would enjoy it too, very much. Have you thought about something juvenile and tacky like a video arcade (hard to find now that there are PC Bangs everywhere) or a street fair? It's Seoul, there's always something lulzworthy going on.

Sorry, my American is showing. Every time I think about the President's house, I think of Monica.

Considering the majority of Korean girls screw on the first date, I would suggest sex too. Invite her over to watch a DVD Cool

Thanks for the tips everyone. We went to Leeum. Thanks, ciccone_youth, it was awesome. Worth the money I say.

I made her dinner (my own pasta sauce), and we, ahem, 'watched' Wall E. Great day.

i would have suggested deoksugung, although for some reason there is this superstition among koreans that if you walk around there on your date, then you are destined to break up soon!
good ones include samcheongdong, haneul gongwon (sky park above the world cup stadium), cafes in the streets behind su noraebang in hongdae, namsan park, also the area near cheongwadae where that crazy museum of chicken art is. and walking around sungkyunkwan university is nice too.

Glad you enjoyed Leeum! I feel partly responsible for the success of your date Wink

Or maybe the pasta did it. Girls love guys who can cook.
