Hey,
Are there any other strength training enthusiasts out there, especially grip strength enthusiasts?
I'm looking to know where you bought your equipment or got it free / used and how you transported it. It seems hard to find this stuff in Seoul, since every Korean I ask has no clue what the *beep* I'm talking about. It's not like in Canada where you could get an old tractor tire from your redneck neighbour's scrap heap.
Things I'm looking for suggestions on getting:
Old tire for free (preferably from a truck, van, or bigger, not a small car)
Sledgehammer
Old pliers and thick metal wire to cut through to work grip
Sandbags
Canvas bags
Long nails or thin pipe for bending
Phone books
Old lawn mower wheel
Thick "marine standard" rope for climbing or pulling
Empty metal beer keg |

This is an odd post, but what the hell...
If you can, take a long distance bus to small town somewhere. Pick one on the map. Just make sure it's small and far away from a city so that it's a bit isolated.
When you get there, buy your return bus ticket so you don't get stuck.
Walk around and find your stuff. There's old tractor tires and what not everywhere where I live. Hell, there's a pile of them outside of one of my schools.
Take a friend and make a day out of it. See rural Korea. Take some photos.
I would suggest you leave from Nambu Long Distance Bus Terminal in Gangnam District.
Pick your destination from map.naver.com Pick a place in Gyeng Sang Nam do. Your trip there will be about 3 hours or so.
good luck! Have fun! |
