so i usually start getting real geared up for thanksgiving around oct. work up a real good appetite by the time it hits. and the closest thing i have to an oven is the tiniest toaster oven ever made. So i'd like to know if they have some kind of festivities somewhere in seoul that us crazy americans can get some good turkey and mashed taters and green bean casserole and omg biscuits! lord i'd forgotten about biscuits. i read some other thread but most people just said, oh you can buy a turkey from here. well that wouldn't do me any good since i have no oven to cook it in. i think i might try and use my rice cooker to make casseroles though...anyone tried that before? anyways, i'm sure other miguks are interested in this as well so let us know where to look or where to go, thanks!

what would be great is to have a potluck where everyone brings some kind of Thanksgiving food and we all sit down and share -

any ideas as to where we could do this please post - I have a small toaster oven and can make dressing - cornbread dressing that is. (guess I need to find some sage, huh?)

The Bungalow and Loco Loca are planning a Thanksgiving dinner, I think on the Friday and Saturday. So far they have planned, turkey, mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, and perhaps pumpkin pie. They're both located in the alley behind the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon.

I spoke to the woman who is organizing it, and dinner will be on the Thursday of Thanksgiving and the next day, Friday. They haven't set a price yet, but they're looking at between 20-30,000 won. If you want more info, you can contact her at Loco Loca, the bistro down the street next to 3 Alley Pub. Her name is Hyang. PM me if you want her cell number.

You can find contact info for the Bungalow and Loco Loca here:

http://www.spiregroup.co.kr/

The dinner consists of turkey, potatoes (either scalloped or mashed), macaroni and cheese, etc. And either pumpkin pie or something else for dessert. Call the numbers on the site for details, as I haven't spoken with the woman doing it in a couple weeks.
