Thank you everyone, I have now closed the questionnaire.
Hello,
I checked the rules and did not find a rule prohibiting posting this questionnaire-url to the board. If I'm violating the rules, please delete the thread.
In Korea Microsoft ActiveX controls are widely used on websites ranging from online banking to general helpful sites such as Seoul transportation map. Through this questionnaire I would like to find out if You have had problems using Korean websites, because of ActiveX. This survey does not cover problems related to language, payment methods or anything else, just ActiveX.
Filling up the questionnaire only takes a few minutes, it is a short and simple one.
The survey is conducted as part of Seoul international student forum project and the results will be handed in as part of a report to the Seoul metropolitan government. The results will be used for research purposes only. The purpose of the report is to show what kind of problems foreigners are facing on Korean websites.
You can take part to the questionnaire if you are a foreigner currently staying in Korea, are familiar with the term ActiveX and have used various Korean websites.
If you do not understand the questions or find serious errors in the questionnaire, please do not fill it up. Your feedback is appreciated.
I will close the questionnaire tomorrow, Thursday, December 4th, afternoon.
Thank you.
Yours,
Antti Hellgren

That questionaire is very simple, and you don't need to be much more than a regular net surfer who knows what Active X is to take it. Took me less than a minute.
Help the guy out. |

Thank you everyone,
I have a decent number of respondents so far. I hope to receive some more though, that will increase the credibility of the survey results.

easy questionnaire. only 6 questions. if korea can rid itself of activex (almost every bloody site here wants to install something), that'd be fantastic. |

For some reason today I'm getting plastered with ActiveX this ActiveX that every time I try to visit websites with Firefox. I know it's the school board trying to track what websites I go to at work, but it was never this persistent before. Basically it's forced me to use IE to check my email. |
