Emart has a special at the moment on combination Convection/Microwave ovens.
Picked one up for only 196,000 won.
Great value. A crappy toaster oven can cost 90,000, same for a Microwave. The stand alone Convection ovens cost 350,000 plus.
This baby is fan forced, has a grill and the facia is stainless steel.
It's not big enough to do a 10 kg Turkey but you can definitely do cakes, roast chicken and such.
Considering a microwave on its own costs 90,000 or so, its like getting an oven for only 100,000.
Been having a feast, Lasagne, Pizza, Roasts, Cakes.
For those hanging out to have an oven heres your chance. |

Unless you are living in a shoe box, why bother with a convection oven? Go for a real oven that does roast a turkey. |

I am living in a shoebox. I've got two leads on microwaves for considerably less than 90,000 now though, so forget it! Last thing I need is a new hobby anyway...
.... I want cake. |

Fair enough, but how much does a real oven cost? |

My brand new Renai cost 400k, they go up from there. I use it all the time. In fact, I'm using it right now.
Even a small convection can cook up one of those little fryers, and they aren't like the fryers back home - even roasted, they're bulletproof. The meat just falls off. If I had a steady supplier for them, I'd be eating one a day, but alas, I'm stuck with E-Martuh. But for under 3000W, that's dinner right there. |

I picked one up online for 59,000 won. It comes with a chicken rotissary that can easily fit 2 medium sized chickens. I make pies, lasagna, meatloafs, anything that required a normal oven. It has to hitting bars on the top and two on the bottom. Best purchase I ever made in Korea.
Unless you're a pastry chef, I don't see the point in forking out too much money for overkill.
Edit: Can it do a full sized turkey? Probably not. |
