Ok so this is a bit of a ridiculous question. I have to fill out a really detailed form that asks me for the address of every place I've lived and for the name, address, supervisor and phone number for every employer I've had for the past 10 years. I cannot for the life of me remember any details about a school I worked at in Seoul and want to see if it sounds familiar to anyone on this board because they've worked there in the past or know someone who did.

Here's what I do remember. I think the school had Hyundae in the name. I know my supervisor was a woman named Terri and think the receptionist was a woman named So-Young. The school was right near Ogeum station and the apartment I lived in was a single apartment (very very small, with a washer and dryer and an enclosed balcony) a short walk from the school, right near one of the stations on the pink subway line. (Or the apartment might have been near Ogeum and the school near the station on the pink line.) There was a prison in between the school and the apartment that had a mural of Disney characters painted on the wall. I was hired through some recruiting company, maybe by a guy named Jason. The school had 2 foreign teachers at a time (we both lived in the same apartment building) - I worked there from May-August 2004 (I think with a Canadian guy named Adam). We taught elementary school kids. Most of the classes of kids came every day and alternated between a class with a Korean teacher and a class with one of us. The kids were given English names when they came to the school, so every class was full of kids with the same ridiculous "names" like Jenny, Sally, Bobby, Tommy, Teddy, etc. etc. etc. I also taught a small class of women a few days a week in the mornings. Everyone at the school was lovely - I just had to leave in a rush and didn't end up keeping in touch, or keeping a very good record of the details.

What I need, if I can figure it out, is the address of the apartment building, and the full name of the school along with the address, Terri's full name, and a phone number if the school still exists. If you have any idea, send me a PM, and you can say you've solved a mystery. Smile

maybe try immigration....make an appointment on their web site indicating the reason for your visit and have them print out your 'record' from the computer file - then you can contact the hakwan for names etc.
