So does this mean the Republicans will be filibustering everything?
Does anyone remember when they were crying that the Democrats had the nerve to perhaps filibuster something?
Republicans have taken whining and hypocrisy to extremes.
Saxby recruited Palin to help him out. We should never underestimate the power of stupidity. They really are becoming the know nothing party who value ignorance and folksy BS over substance, thinking, and nuance. I thought after the election they would disown Palin and the extreme Christian evangelical Right, but I guess not. Oh well, Palin/Joe the Plumber 2012!
Bring on the end times and praise Jesus for saving us from taxes, gays, unions, health care, minimum wage, civil rights, environmental regulations, alternative energy, atheists, colored folks, immigrants, science, stem cells, reproductive choice, mainstream media, gun show loophole laws, France, Canada, Liberals, Satan, higher education, etc!
(yup, I'm a bit tipsy and I think I need another glass...it's one of those nights...red wine rules!) |

The Georgia runoff was an uphill battle and it was pretty much a safe assumption Chambliss was going to hold this seat. The Democrats would have needed twice the turnout that actually took place to have a prayer of winning.
There is still one outstanding race in Minnesota and that may not be decided anytime soon. They are suppose finish the recount by Friday, but there will need to be a decision as to the rejected absentee ballots and the challanged ballots.
With 58, there is always the chance that one or two moderate Republicans would flip and vote against fillibustering. Depending on what happens in Minnesota that very well could be 59.
