Just a thought after reading the Mod sticky about exercising common sense and not opening links posted by "non-veteran" posters.

Would it be feasible to allow picture-posting privileges to any active forum member who has made say at least 1000 (or 2000) posts?

That's actually a great suggestion. I'm not too familiar with phpbb software but I run with a forum based on vbulletin and it's totally possible. I'm sure it is with phpbb, too.

Totally agree, although I suspect it's not possible with this forum software.

Other things to implement would be 1) stricter with the avatar size 2) don't get an avatar until 100-200 posts.

Dave doesnt seem to be interested in implementing any suggestions that the posters here come up with, i think its a dead duck.

I miss pics, too. If they can limit IMs to people with 25 posts or more, why not allow pic-posting to people with, say, 500 posts or more? Even really pathetic people like you know who aren't going to sign up with new usernames and post 500 times just to spring some porn on us all.
It's be nice if they just had a "Korea photos forum" where pics relates to Korea were allowed. If one were afraid to find some bad pic while at work, just browse the other forums, not the designated photo forum.

Yep, talking software upgrade hear is as ludicrous as thinking there will be peace in the middle east. Dave Sperling is an absentee landlord who cares only about the job ads that make him money.

This rule already exists.

I favor your suggestion, if only so you can post more pics of deer dancing with tigers. That shee-it be trippy!

a 1000 is way over the top.

Someone who has posted 250 without abuse, spam or pornographic tendencies should be able to post photos.

I liked John Belushi's motivational speech from Animal House posted by "caniff" ...
http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=MsmybQKpmTw&NR=1

But we might need the more serious type of moving speech given by Al Pacino - just consider these forums to be like a fearful, crime-ridden city that's a shadow of its former self, and our picture-posting privileges to be like the slain boy from the ghetto ...

Or perhaps the rabble-rousing Cyrus, from 'the Warriors...'
