I recently got my ARC a few weeks ago and finally got a cellphone with LG (Prepaid). One of the main reasons I wanted a cellphone is so that I could text overseas to my family in england and ireland respectively and some friends in Taiwan. I have tried the usual +886(taiwan cellphone number) here but it doesn't seem to work. I was told that I need to use 002 before the country code (does that work?), any ideas on why it isn't working?

Neither. You will send a message to them just like it was an msn message, they will receive it as a text message. They reply, and you get it just like an msn message. Oh by msn I mean windows live messenger.

Go to add a contact, then instead of entering an email, just enter their phone number. I'm talking to my friends back home as we speak.

i4NI, thanks for the help, I added my own number into Windows Live Messenger but I am unable to text message myself in Korea? How will it work for Taiwan or any other country? What fields do I have to fill in? For myself I just added my first and last name and my mobile number here in Korea.

You shouldn't need to enter anything more than a name and phone number. I haven't used any numbers outside of the US so I'm not sure. Just remember that when dialing to Korea, the number is different than when you dial inside of Korea. You might need to enter the number like you would if you were calling from America. That might be the problem or Korean telcom companies don't support this feature.
