I've recently realized that with the plunging value of the korean money I'm getting paid in that it's maybe not practical to have my sister buy my clothes in the US and send them to me like I had been doing.
I hate doing ironing so I'm wondering if I can find permanent press pants in Korean stores. And shirts similar to the shirts I used to buy in Target, Wall-mart, Macys, Mervyns, et.al. in the USA.
I'm thinking that even though they may cost a bit more here in Korea, when I factor in the postage plus the loppsided exchange rate, that buying locally might be an inevitable course of action.
One of my Korean teacher friends helped me buy a 2 piece suit off-the-rack i Guri. I only pad around 150,000 KW for it and other than the fact that it still needs to be taken in in a couple of spots, it's otherwise acceptable quality.
We didn't buy it at a big store but rather a mens store in a shopping backstreet of Guri.
I'm going to be living in Suwon by mid December so if anybody has any shopping tips either there or in Seoul, I'd sure like to know.
Thanks,

In Suwon there is a Samsung Galaxy factory outlet. I don't remember exactly where it is, but they just sell surplus suits from the year before. Around 200,000w for a Galaxy. Those suits are usually pretty expensive. |

you can find next to anything clothes related in the markets in Seoul. Try Dongdemon first. |
