| Does anyone know a decent place to buy a suit, preferrably somewhere South Seoul...not looking for super expensive suits either, just something decent enough. If you bought a suit somewhere let me know how much you got it for. Full suit meaning, pants+blazer. I can get cufflinks+shirt+tie anywhere. Thanks in advance! |

You can get a well-tailored suit with average quality wool made for you at any custom tailor's, at about the 200k won level. That would be one pair of trousers with jacket. If you want extra pairs of trousers, or a high-end quality wool, the price goes up.
You can pick your own fabric and have it made in whatever style you want. It's much better than spending the same money for a suit off the rack with an imperfect fit. |

I like Zara for suits, however their range changes so quickly that I'm not sure what the ones they have in stock at the moment are like. However, the price range is around 400,000 Won - but for a nice looking suit I don't consider that too much.
There's a Zara in the COEX mall at Samsung station. |

I think it's better to get one tailored in Korea than buy off the rack. If you happen to be taller than six feet, then I'd definitely go for tailoring.
Many Korean suits don't have the slim fit, and that is what you should be going for depending on body type.
Zara is a Spain-based chain (correct me if I'm wrong) and I've seen the price in euros on the price tag. |

| Any places in particular? 400K is a bit much for me, i'm not looking to get that nice of a suit, it's only for a few interviews. 200K is more around my budget. |

Yaya, yup it's a Spanish chain, but you'll find them in pretty much any EU state and they're also pretty popular in Canada.
If you can find a good tailor and you like the material they have to offer then that's probably your best bet.
However, Zara's suits tend to give a slim fit, rather than the marquee tent fit that Korean suits do. Also, I hate the way that the lining in Korean suits only covers half the area - it looks so cheap and doesn't feel very comfortable.
IMHO 200k is going to buy you a pretty average looking suit which is not gonna make you feel a million dollars to wear. |
