| Is there anyone who knows when the new contract for GEPIK will come out? I was wondering if I should wait to see what's new before signing a new contract, hoping there will be a pay raise in the next one since everything got more expensive this year in Korea. |

hasn't it already? the 2009 version?
I assume it will be the operating contract for anything signed after Jan 1. 2009 (or at worst after Mar 2009 which is when they begin the new school year).
far as I know, other than 100K bump in settlement allowance, there are no pay raises. |

Supposedly the contract is supposed to come out this week, according to my co-teacher.
I also heard a rumor that the pay scale will increase, but don't hold your breath. The contract will probably be the same as the Fall '08 one |

So, how would that work?
If you are making 2.2, and the pay scale increases by .1 million won, do you then make 2.4 because after working one year they are supposed to give you a .1 million won raise.
Would this also mean 2.5 wouldn't be the highest you could go, but 2.6 (using .1 million won as the hypothetical increase) would be? |

If they increase the level 3 pay of 2.0 won,do you think everyone would look to work just for Gepik?  |

If they increase the level 3 pay of 2.0 won,do you think everyone would look to work just for Gepik? |
if I were a betting man, I'd bet the pay levels stay the same or are minimally increased (by say 100K won) |

So, for minimal increase people will stay where they are even though Epik and SMOE pay 200 less? |
