I was wondering where can native teachers get hold of these and are they allowed to obtain them?

Or would that be ilegal? I suppose in theory one could copy the CD's the school has.

The computer in our class has shortcuts to each CD ROM on the desktop. I may ask the guy I know in the V.P.'s office to copy them onto my flashdrive, if that's possible.

I just thought it would be convenient to have them. What do you think? Laughing

I just made a copy of them onto my school computer and my home laptop.

The lessons are also avalible over the internet. Ask your teacher about it.

They need to go to a specific site and put in a password. This then gives you access to all the stuff that is on the seperate CD's.

It should be no problem to ask your school for extra copies. If spares aren't available you can make copies for yourself. You can't really just copy these kinds of discs to a thumbdrive. First, they are probably too big for your thumb drive and second, you lose the autorun functions of the CD.

If you need to copy them, a program like this (http://www.free-downloads.net/programs/Alcohol_52__Free_Edition) will help you to make an exact image (.iso) of the CD which you can then burn to CD.

Thanks. I wouldn't discuss this with my co-teacher. I can't stand her.

I have a friend who can copy cds with ease. I may borrow some of the disks during winter vacation camp and then return them to their rightful place.

You can copy these CD's no problem and they do work!

I took the CD's home to copy but i am sure the material would fit onto a normal sized pen drive.

How much info does a CD, something like 700mb?

If/when you copy one of the CD's all the software goes into one folder. Then simply kick on one of the two auto run buttons, which have a girls face as an icon i seem to rememer.

One of them is a dud, the other will auto run the software.

If memory serves me right, there is an option in Korean to copy onto disc when you insert them. It will ask what drive?

I think it just defaults it to copy directly into the C root folder.

After that is done, just drag that over to your thumb drive and you can run the CD from that.

You'll probably need a 2 or 4gb thumb drive though.

I am not a technical expert but I've managed to copy all CD-ROMS to a 4GB flash drive.

One at a time I inserted each CD-ROM into my computer. I went onto the computer section clicked on the E drive option, right clicked on the mouse, chose the copy option and copied each CD-ROM to my documents.

Then, I copied all files to my flash drive, from my documents.

I've checked they all work on my flash drive. Now, I've got them all.

Yippeeeeeeeeeeee! Laughing Thanks everybody.

I've tried the CD-ROMS saved on my flash drive, at home on my laptop.

It works, but for Grades 3 and 4, the listen and repeat sections are without the video, only the audio is there. It says some driver is missing on the screen. Sorry it says it needs a video decompressor. It said videos iv 32 decompressor needed.

I will try those sections at work tomorrow. I suspect this happened because I have no Korean software on my laptop.

My laptop just displayed a help wizard whcih explained various visual elements are not shown because it conflicts with Vista's color scheme. That's another factor to consider. Laughing
