for my previous job, do I need to back pay pension and health when I start a new contract with a new school? Or will I just have to pay from day one of my new contract at my new school.
If I have to back pay then I can't afford to do that..... |

I doubt they'll make you do that when your contract is already finished. If you were mid-contract and they discovered that you weren't paying into pension and medical, then yes, but not after your contract is finished.
If they made you pay into pension and medical then your old boss would have to do the same. Even though it would be expensive for you, it would be worth your while to pay into the pension because you would get all that money plus what your employer paid back when you leave Korea.
But again, I doubt they're going to make you do that at this point. |

I don't know about pension, but recently I was added onto my wife's NHI and, yes, I had to pay for the lapsed months. Three of the lapsed months were from over one year ago. |
