Do you boil your pet's drinking water? Or give them water right out of the tap?
I only ask because one of my cats has an annoying habit of ONLY drinking water from a running tap. And if you don't turn it on for him, he will sit in the sink and cry. I'd rather not give him yucky Korea water but I'm also not looking forward to months of whiny cat before he sucks it up and drinks from a damn bowl. |

My cats are on tap water all the way.
I used to drink it myself until I live where I do now. It doesn't taste so good to me in this area. However the cats seem to like it just fine. The Seoul water board claim it's safe and despite the fact Koreans won't drink it I don't disbelieve them.
And if our pets were in the wild they'd be drinking out of puddles or rivers with god-knows-what dead in the river upstream. Treated Seoul (or other city) tapwater is fine.
If my cats ever start complaining about the tapwater though I'll know something is up with the water supply. They're not dumb. (Well, only a little).
I also use it for all my tea, coffee, cooking and washing of vegetables, fruit and salad. The liquor will kill me before the tapwater that's for sure. |

Spring Water - I don't feel like giving "small amounts of arsenic" to my cat.
Secretly, though, when I'm not home he drinks from dishes in the sink or sneaks into the toilet.
I feel if he can get away with it, then that's his right. |

My cats drink tap water but I think they've been drinking Korean tap water since birth so they're probably more used to it than pets brought here. |

I am sure that tap water is "safe" in terms of not killing your animal, but we buy spring water for our cat.
Why would I give her water that I wouldn't drink? |

Seoul's water is fine, even for a human to drink. I still use a purifier, as I would in the USA, but the animals get tap water no problem. |

I'm struggling with the same issue. I've been told by some foreigners that there's a lot of heavy metal in the water near me, and told by others that it's totally safe and they drink it themselves. I've gotten the same mixed messages from Koreans.
I can barely keep up with buying enough water to ensure that I don't run out, and when I do I drink from the tap (always boiled tap water with my coffee and tea as well), but I don't want to hurt my kitty by giving her tap crap.
I might start boiling for her (although I don't know what that will do for metals and arsenic). I've also seen water filter pitchers here, so that may be an option as well.
My issue is also that you don't actually know if the bottled water is any better for you or your pets, especially with new studies linking cancer to plastic bottles, and most research in general exposing toxins in bottles water.
Sucks either way. |

My cats seem to prefer running water as well. When I'm taking a shower, they jump up on the back of the tub and lap up the water or else lap it up off the floor. Otherwise, they drink out of their bowl.
Do they get boiled/bought water? No! |

My cat prefers to drink from the toilet, tap or from the bathroom floor (shower water). I can't get her to drink from her bowl, even when the water is one second fresh. She just won't drink it.

My cat drinks tap water as well. I buy bottled water to drink at home. My wife boils water for herself and some kind of powder in it to turn it brown (I can't remember the name of it). |
