I should further narrow my question to: what is the difference between a cash card and a "domestic" check card? I already have a global check card with KEB, and I tried to do the same for my other bank account at Nonghyup, but they refused. Nonghyup would only offer me a domestic check card for 1000 won. I already have a cash card with Nonghyup that I use at the ATM, so before I plop down 1000 won, would there be any benefit to having a Korea-only check card over a cash card?

I believe the KEB cash card only works at ATMs and cheque card works at stores.
