I teach middle school (3rd grade). My co-teacher recommended I teach a lesson on idioms this week. I've come up with a great list of idioms and have made a power point but I'm having trouble coming with activities for the kids to do.
Any suggestions? What are some fun activities for a lesson on idioms?
Thanks in advance

First off, I recommend an idiom book that has some kind of cartoon to represent the idiom. Also, most idiom books have activities to practice using the idioms.

Complete the sentence with the missing idiom.
Matching the idiom with the definition.
Crosswords

You can play a variation of the memory game using either the cartoon and the idiom or the idiom and the definition.

If you have the cartoons, you can zoom in on the image 500% and slowly scroll around the image and see who can guess the idiom first.
