I have a friend in Canada who wants to come teach for 6 months before she goes to grad school. What better place to ask then Dave's.

Anyone know a place doing 6 month contracts?

then there is no issue!

simply sign a one-year contract and give notice after the fourth or fifth month that they'll be leaving (or better: tell the employer beforehand; there's so many job openings that won't be filled that someone will gladly do that)

six-month contracts are only needed in cases where one would want to work at another Korean employer soon thereafter
