My Korean student wants to study TESOL and I myself have never taught it. What books/workbooks should I recommend him on buying?
His level isnt that high for being 21 years old

| Scrivener and Harmer's books are pretty standard. One book is 'Learning Teaching' (Scrivener, I think) and another is The Practice of Teaching English (Harmer). I may have mixed up the names... |

Are you sure that you want TESOL books? TESOL is teaching english to students of other languages.
This is for those who want to teach English as a foreign or second language. You would learn about second language aquisition, methodologies of teaching, linguistics, etc.
Why would a 21 Korean with mediocre ability want to study this. I think that you should teach him/her something to improve their English ability.
ARe you sure that he/she doesn't want to take TOEFL? That is what most Korean students would want to study. That is to pass an english competency exam. |
