You could just do the same thing, and if you get caught, tell them about her. It will give you a few days and it won't look like you initiated it. Just say you thought it was some "Korean custom". |

He can't do the same thing - his desk is in the communal teacher's lounge.
OP,
Don't be an idiot! If you 'rat her out' you will have an enemy. What skin is it off your nose if she comes and goes only to teach classes? What has she done to you? How do you know she does not have principal's/v.p.'s permission to do as she does? |

I'm with cruisemonkey on this one. How is this harming you? Sure, you're understandably jealous (I would be) but unless this is stomping on your toes I would say nothing. You won't get any kudos from the higher ups by ratting the CT out and you will doubtless suffer a significant backlash as time goes on because the CT will badmouth you to the other Korean staff.
Keep shtoom I say. |

I really think that the best thing a teacher can do is LOOK AFTER THEIR OWN CLASSROOM. This is how progress is made.
Teachers who engage in gossip, chatting about others, telling admin about other teachers (they wore a mini skirt! , they never use the computer! , they came late last Thursday! The sky is falling!) are really just wasting energy. If there is real concern, talk to the teacher directly, diplomatically and in an open fashion about it. If you aren't willing to do that -- keep quiet.
The only reason to go to admin about anything is if there is a gross violation which effects students. Drunk on the job, violence etc.... The issue as related tells me nothing about whether she is doing a great job or not.... So the issue is a non issue.
On this messageboard I get the feeling many teachers for the most part, are too concerned about other teachers and what they are doing when they should focus on their own garden. This is the only way real progress is made -- lead with your example, not your mouth. Cultivez votre jardin -- if I may be so candid.

I'm with the three above. It's not your business and making it so won't help anyone. |

Good advice from all for sure. Yes, I know better than to do that. I am not one to rock the boat. Thanks for reminding me to not be that guy. |
